British Accounting and Finance Association – South West Area Group Annual Accounting and Finance Conference 2022

The School of Accounting and Finance of the University of Bristol is hosting the 2022 Annual Conference and Doctoral Colloquium of the South West Area Group of the British Accounting and Finance Association. To promote exchanges of ideas in research in the region and beyond, we welcome papers from all areas of Accounting and Finance. Submissions can range from early working drafts to fully developed papers. The Doctorial Colloquium is dedicated to doctoral students who wish to obtain feedback on their work. 

We are looking forward to welcoming 16 academic speakers to present their ideas and research at the conference. Registrations for the event are now open, please register your interest before the closing date on the 24th August 2022. 

Format

Face-to-face participations and attendance. Each academic paper presentation will have a discussant, and all presentations will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

Travel to Clifton Hill House

Car Parking: There is no parking at Clifton Hill House. Street parking is mainly for local resident’s only (9am – 9pm) and is on a permit basis. There are a few pay and display bays which allow parking up to 3 hours. There is a long stay NCP car park nearby on Jacobs Wells Road, BS8 1EH.

Park & Ride: Park and Ride services allow you to park without difficulty on the outskirts of the city. A bus transports you to the city centre.

Local Buses: The following bus services run to within walking distance of Clifton Hill House:
8/9 - These bus services run from Bristol Temple Meads train station and the City Centre. Alight at Victoria Square in Clifton Village, which is a 5 minute walk away.

By Train: Temple Meads is the closest train station. The number 8 and 9 bus services stop in Clifton Village which is a 5 minute walk from the Hall

By Air: Bristol International Airport is only 13 km to the south of the city. The Bristol flyer provides a bus service from the airport into the city centre.
