Dr Trevor Griffiths (1938-2024)
Trevor begun work in the School in 1966, and spent decades strengthening research and teaching in plant Biochemistry, retiring in 2000. He is remembered here by Dr David Yates, with the help of Professor Richard Oliver and Dr Keith Stobart.

Prof. Steve Halford FRS (affectionately “Halfs” to his friends) was a legendary Bristol biochemist for over 40 years, progressing from undergraduate to emeritus professor.

Dr Michael Hayes (1939 – 2022)
Dr Michael Hayes died on the 22 September 2022. He was appointed Lecturer in Biochemistry (Oral Biology) within the Department of Biochemistry in 1970, promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1983 and retired in 1999.
