Press release issued: 6 June 2017

Dr Ben Perry recognised for research success.

Congratulations to Dr Ben Perry, an academic clinical fellow from Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and the University of Warwick, whose research on Children of the 90s data recently won the prestigious Royal College of Psychiatrists West Midlands Research Prize.

His winning work looked at the associations between inflammation, dysglycaemia (conditions caused by abnormal blood-glucose levels) and psychotic experiences in Children of the 90s participants. He found that there is a significant link between the three in a significant subset of participants.

He is currently finishing writing up his work for publication and will be presenting it at the 2017 Immune Function in Psychosis conference in Galway, Ireland later this month (29-30 June 2017).
