Injury Prevention Photosphere: community-based home safety for professionals and parents of young children.

Three 360O photos of an ‘unsafe’ kitchen, sitting room and bathroom have hazards labelled invisibly. These can be identified by hovering the cursor over the hazard or clicking it. This ‘identifies’ the hazard to the user and opens a box with information about the hazard and prevention messages.

We have co-developed an interactive intervention with parents and health visitors (HVs) to inform and support home safety. HVs can use it with families to identify injury hazards, children’s centres can use it in sessions with parents and families will be able to share it with other family members and friends.

Three photospheres of a virtual ‘unsafe’ kitchen, sitting room and bathroom have hazards labelled invisibly. These can be identified by the user by hovering the cursor over the hazard or by clicking it. This ‘identifies’ the hazard, the risks posed by the hazard and positive prevention messages and some links to resources for further information. A ‘spot the hazard’ quiz is included and a poster can be generated.
