Professor Peter Blair, Professor Peter Fleming, Professor Jenny Ingram, Dr Anna Pease, Dr Alice-Amber Keegan and Dr Nick Turner attended a prestigious international conference in Florence, Italy in October 2023
The international conference "Baby Survival: Global Achievements and Future Challenges" was run by the International Society for the Study and Prevention of Perinatal and Infant Death (ISPID), and hosted in Italy by Semi per la SIDS ONLUS and Fondazione Meyer. Together, the team gave both oral presentations and presented posters detailing our extensive work to reduce the risks for sudden and unexpected deaths in infants and children. Our work showcased our new risk assessment and planning tool for safer sleep, our in depth family involvement and the very latest data on sudden unexplained death in childhood, in collaboration with the National Child Mortality Database.
