In September the Centre of Academic Child Health celebrated their 20th Anniversary. To celebrate this occasion we held an event to mark this milestone by looking back not only at what we had acheived so far, but also looking forward by highlighting our current research.
Staff and students from the Centre presented a series of varied talks showcasing the great work that is currently taking place within the Centre. We are currently working to be able to share these with you at a later date.
We were also delighted to welcome Professor Helen Bedford, a Professor of Children's Health from University College London, to our event as our external speaker who gave an inspiring talk on “Child Health Research and Teaching: Leading us into the future". In addition we shared the afternoon's event with our newly appointed Head of the Medical School, Professor Chrissie Thirlwell.
