On 26 April, Emma delivered a behavioural science teaching afternoon to attendees from all over Africa as part of a two-day international antimicrobial stewardship training event organised by the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association. Attendees were mostly pharmacists acting as country and site champions for antimicrobial stewardship. The session was designed to help these champions plan interventions for improving prescribing behaviours in hospitals and clinics. Emma's involvement was via The Change Exchange, Health Psychology volunteer initiative. The CPA training also included a data collection plan for assessing prescribing in practice, an antimicrobial stewardship game and an app for easy access to prescribing guidelines. The attendees were brilliant!
