AvonCAP GP2: general practice study about chest infections

AvonCAP GP2, a general practice study about chest infections in adults, has started recruiting patients in Bristol. We want to understand what impact chest infections have on patients and the NHS, how many could be prevented by vaccination (e.g. with COVID vaccines and other vaccines that are being developed) and what groups of patients might benefit most from vaccination. This is a collaborative study between the Centre for Academic Primary Care and the Bristol Vaccine Centre. Study team: Prof Adam Finn (Chief Investigator), Prof Alastair Hay (Senior Investigator), Dr Polly Duncan and Dr Ruth Mears (Co-Principal Investigators).
