Toity Deave's One Show TV appearance

SARA featured on The One Show helping their regular action man and SARA team member Andy Torbet to highlight some of the dangers of open water.

The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) is a a volunteer Emergency Rescue Service Provider volunteer search and rescue charity with lifeboat and rescue stations along the length of the river Severn. Toity Deave is operational for the lifeboat, land search and rope rescue call outs from the Coastguard and Police, respectively, as well as a casualty carer under the Mountain Rescue for England & Wales remit. SARA were delighted to feature on The One Show on the 10th August, helping their regular action man and SARA team member, Andy Torbet, to highlight some of the dangers of open water. Toity was interviewed about safety in relation to cold water, what happens to the body, what to do if one wants to swim as well as what to do if someone is in trouble: dial 999.
