After a 35 year engagement Pete Blair finally tied the knot. Helen's one-knee proposal at the top of Clifton observatory terrace seemed to do the trick (he even promised not to wear his shorts and sandals on the day). A civil partnership,  witnessed by their two sons, Sam & Jacob, took place on 27th October.

The happy couple elected to abandon traditional vows and recite instead lyrics from a Christy Moore song (Reel in the Flickering light) about the courtship and marriage of a Daddy Long Legs!
