Training
 
  Training is obviously an important part of the club's purpose, and in Keith Brackstone and Mike Downs, we have two living legends. With their help you will undoubtedly improve, however be warned, as side effects include the inability to walk the next day and you may well develop an unhealthy liking for malt loaf.

The upcoming weeks training will usually be outlined more specifically in an email from Steve, but the following is a typical weeks training. If you are interested in joining the mailing list email bristolxc@gmail.com .

Training Schedule

The typical training schedule for the Autumn Term is:

Monday - Docks Run - Sports Centre at 5:15 - A 45 minute run around the waterfront. Go as fast or as slow as you like! A good social run!

Tuesday - Coombe Dingle - Interval session. 6:50pm for 7:00. 30 minutes of speed-endurance running with Bristol & West AC. A great session to get you fit.

Wednesday - Steady run - Sports Centre at 14:15. Up to an hour’s run in Leigh Woods or Ashton Court. A scenic run over the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Thursday - Another interval session with Keith Brackstone. Usually 6:50pm for 7:00 at Coombe Dingle

Friday - Circuit Training at the Sports Centre, on the balcony.at 6.30pm

Saturday - There will often be a session on a Saturday morning if there are no races, typically at around 10:30am. This will be led by Keith Brackstone, and further details will be given via email each week.

Sunday am - Typically a long run, leaving the Sports Centre at 10:15, or the Water Tower at 10.30 for those in Stoke Bishop.
