University summer closure dates

The university will be open as usual over the summer however, it will be closed on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 August 2022.

Health and wellbeing support

Remember that help is available if you are feeling isolated or in need of support over this period.

Residential Life team

The Residential Life service will continue to operate 24/7 throughout the summer vacation. Residential Life Advisors can be contacted via the normal Residential Life numbers and email addresses. Appointments are available seven days a week via phone, MS Teams or face to face.

Students' Health Service opening times

If you need to access medical help or advice please call 0117 3302721 for details of on-call services. You can also dial 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk to speak to the NHS on call services. For full details please visit the Students' Health Service webpage.

Libraries and study centres

Opening times for the libraries and study centres.

You can continue to access subject support and the 24/7 live chat service throughout the holiday period. 

IT Services support IT

24-hour helpline is available to deal with any IT queries or reports of problems with services. Call 0117 428 2100.

Study skills

The team is here all summer to help you upgrade your academic skills. If you're working on a dissertation or project over the summer our workshopsdissertation writing days and tutorials (online and in-person) are very useful. If you didn't get the grades you needed in the assessments this summer then book a tutorial or look at our online resources on Revision planning and Revision techniques for useful tips and advice. There are lots more opportunities on our Blackboard page.  

Sport, Exercise and Health

Disability Services

Disability Services will be available throughout the summer break, with the exception of Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 August, when the University will be closed.

Multifaith Chaplaincy

The Multifaith Chaplaincy Centre will be closed from 10 June 2022 until the student term restarts in October 2022. Over the summer vacation our team of chaplains and local faith contacts are still available for pastoral and spiritual support 1-1s. This is a space to talk through how you're feeling, with no agenda, come as you are. To arrange, you can email multifaith-chaplaincy@bristol.ac.uk, or contact one of our chaplains directly.

Students' Union opening times

The Richmond Building's opening hours from 20 June to 10 September will be Monday to Friday 8 am - 8 pm.

There will be no weekend or evening opening except by prior arrangement for key events.
