Social Policy ranked 3rd in the UK

Social Policy at Bristol has been ranked 3rd in the UK by the Complete University Guide 2023.

The Guide’s latest UK league table shows Social Policy is among eight of Bristol’s subjects which are ranked in the top five. 

The subject tables are based on five measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Graduate Prospects - outcomes, and Graduate Prospects - on track. 

Social Policy at Bristol was also recently ranked 18th in the world in the QS World Rankings by Subject

In addition, 98% of research in Social Work and Social Policy at the School for Policy Studies has been classed as world leading or internationally excellent in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) results

Head of School, Professor Esther Dermott, said "It is fantastic that the commitment of our staff to an excellent student experience and quality of teaching has been reflected in our place in these rankings. It follows on from recognition of our world leading research in REF2021 (2nd), and our international esteem in the QS rankings where the most recent results put us top 20 in the world."
