For all members of the public, including juniors (under 16s). Choose a membership option and payment plan. Join at any time and upgrade whenever you want.
Active Choice
Off-peak gym, classes or swim:
Annual - £240
Monthly (direct debit) - £28.25*
Anytime gym:
Annual - £299
Monthly (direct debit) - £35.99*
*plus a joining fee equivalent to the direct debit payment.
Active Complete
Annual - £379
Monthly (direct debit) - £44.50*
*plus a joining fee of £44.50.
Active Juniors
Our Junior membership is now only obtained by those who are signed up to either our Swim School Programme or our Junior Tennis programme and are paying via Direct Debit. The benefits include;
Membership benefits:
- Free entry to public swimming sessions
- Free swim lesson badges and awards
- 30% off outdoor tennis courts at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex
- 20% discount on group and 1:1 swimming lessons
- 10% discount on Sport, Exercise and Health merchandise
- And all other Active Connect membership benefits
Community exercise
All the benefits of Active Connect, plus access to guided classes and social sessions particularly suited for those with any health or mobility issues.

Opening hours & off-peak times
Off-peak times for the gym and fitness classes are:
- Monday to Friday - Opening-15.30
- Saturday and Sunday - Anytime

Sports clubs
All students who attend club training sessions allocated through the Facility Allocation Matrix will be required to have a valid SEH Access Pass, at the cost of £25. Club members will be required to make one single payment via the Bristol SU website when joining a club. The SEH Access Pass will be purchased at the same time as club membership, via the Bristol SU website, and everything will be in one place. The pass income will be transferred to SEH automatically. Please speak to your club if you require any more information.

Bursary Discounts
Additional discounts are available if you have been awarded the University of Bristol Bursary or Access to Bristol Bursary.
The last purchase date for bursary-discounted sports passes is 31 May. Sports passes are valid from the time of purchase until 31 August.
