Recently Cohort 10 of the Quantum Engineering CDT (plus a handful of CDT staff) embarked on the USA Industry trip, which this year took us to both Boulder, Colorado, and Palo Alto in San Francisco.

An incredibly packed but very interesting programme began with talks, lab tours and panel sessions at CU Boulder, where we were joined by representatives from JILA, NIST, Atom Computing, Quantinuum. This was followed on the second day with visits to the labs of Infleqtion and Vescent, and then trialling some authentic US dive bars in Boulder itself!

A quick flight to San Francisco later began the second leg of our trip which featured tours, talks and panels from quantum researchers at Standford, UC Berkeley, Rigetti, Google, Atom Computing, PsiQuantum, IBM quantum & many more! A real highlight from this leg of the trip was the networking mixer organised on Stanford campus.
