Nomura is a global financial services group with an integrated network spanning over 30 countries.  Benjamin joined the Heilbronn Institute in October 2018 following a PhD from Cambridge University under the supervision of Henry Wilton. His research is in the area of geometric group theory and his thesis entitled 'Detecting topological properties in boundaries of hyperbolic groups', answering theoretical algorithmic questions about hyperbolic groups in the field of geometric group theory.
