Receiving this award from the University of Bristol is a great honour. I am truly humbled and happy to have been recognised for my hard work and dedication. This award is the icing on the cake on a fantastic and unforgettable year.” Matias Guarda, LLM International Commercial Law

Alongside the programme prizes, the Law School also recognised the hard work of our International Internship Scheme Scholar winners who were each awarded £500 by the School for their legal work experience undertaken overseas.

  • Le En Ng, third year LLB Law
  • Megan Lim, second year LLB Law
  • Aryan Mandal, third year LLB Law
  • Yan Yi Tan, third year LLB Law

This award means a lot me as it is recognition of two months of hard work at the Supreme Court of India. This award benefits my future employability and gives me the opportunity to make my resume stand out.” Aryan Mandal, third year LLB Law

Winning the IISS prize is an honour! It is very rewarding, and fulfilling being recognised by the University for my internship at the Greek Mission in the United Nations in New York. As an international student, I have struggled navigating myself in the highly competitive legal industry and securing summer internships. I consider this prize as a testament to many months of hard work.” Elina Koufali, third year LLB Law

Winning this prize for the second year in a row is an immense honour. It acknowledges the hard work and dedication I put into my summer internships, and it shows appreciation for students who are constantly striving to improve their legal skills, knowledge, and career prospects. The legal industry is highly competitive, with many entry-level positions going unpaid or offering wages below minimum. Receiving this prize, with its accompanying financial aid, means I can focus even more on my personal and professional growth. I am truly grateful for this recognition.”  Lee Ling Chu, third year LLB Law

Winning this award is sweet validation on 3 counts: First, the strong employer recognition and strength of my Bristol LLB Degree. Second, the collegial student culture in Bristol where I feel supported to grow intellectually, pursue my career aspirations and make lifelong friends. Lastly, the deep exposure and mentorship afforded during my legal internship with WongPartnership LLP, a market-leading provider of legal services in the Asia Pacific region.” Yan Yi Tan, third year LLB Law

It feels great to be recognized by the Law School for the legal experience that I have gained in diverse jurisdictions.” Mckenzie-Kohl Tuckett, second year LLB Law with Study Abroad
