LawWorks, the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, announced the winners of the LawWorks and Attorney General’s Student Pro Bono Awards, which celebrate the best pro bono activities undertaken by law students and law schools and the positive impact on those assisted. The awards are sponsored by LexisNexis.
The Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the House of Lords on May 4th with the Attorney General, the Rt Hon. Suella Braverman QC MP.
Alasdair Douglas, Chair of LawWorks said:
“Congratulations to all those shortlisted for the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards - it's been clear from the large number of nominations that, despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, pro bono initiatives are thriving at UK law schools.
“I would like to thank the judges for their time - choosing from so many excellent and high-quality nominations is a difficult task. Thank you also to the Attorney General, The Rt Hon Suella Braverman QC MP, for once again supporting the Awards.
“But, above all, thank you everyone nominated and shortlisted for their commitment to helping those in need of legal support. Society is in your debt."
James Harper, Executive Sponsor for Rule of Law and CSR at LexisNexis, said:
“It is with much pride that LexisNexis has continued its support for the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards in 2022.
“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on the incredible work undertaken by students across the country to support and protect the Rule of Law, with a drive and commitment that is inspiring. The Rule of Law is at the heart of everything LexisNexis does – from content to software, to our work across the legal community – and it is a privilege to stand with the nominees for these prestigious awards.
