Patient and public involvement and engagement

Patient and public involvement (PPI) is at the heart of our programme. Our User Reference Group of people with lived experience of cancer provides valuable insight into our research. It provides guidance to our researchers on PPI and helps with explaining our work to those outside our field.

We also talk with the public about our research through a range of public engagement activities and we support Cancer Research UK in demonstrating the impact of funding research into cancer.

Take a look around the cancer research labs at Southmead Hospital and meet some of the scientists who work in them as part of the Integrative Cancer Epidemiology Programme (ICEP) at University of Bristol. Thank you to Cancer Research UK and all their supporters for funding this vital research and helping to beat cancer.
