Mentoring
There are a number of opportunities to engage in mentoring, both within and outside the University, and we encourage our PhD students, post-docs, professional services staff and affiliated clinicians to explore these.
- Bristol Clear: Bristol Clear Mentoring Scheme | Staff Development | University of Bristol. The Staff Development hub for research staff, has information on mentoring, including the role of a mentor and when engaging in a mentoring relationship may be of most value, as well as including a list of internal opportunities. - Academy of Medical Sciences Mentoring Programme: Mentoring | The Academy of Medical Sciences (acmedsci.ac.uk) [See link for eligibility].
- The NIHR Academy Mentoring Programme: NIHR Leaders Support and Development Programme | NIHR [Mentees should be an NIHR Academy Member and hold an NIHR award at postdoctoral level and/or hold a postdoctoral position and be based in NIHR Infrastructure (e.g. BRC) or in an NIHR School].
- CRUK Women of Influence Scheme: Women of Influence | Cancer Research UK [Available to exceptional female CRUK scientists – see website for more details].
