The purpose of these high-profile events is to bring together researchers from both countries and to facilitate research collaborations in areas from across the chemical sciences.

Every alternate year, India-UK symposium is held at different universities in the UK since 2012 and so far, four such symposia have been held.  The last UK meeting was held in 2018 at University of Oxford and University of Manchester and was unable to host it during the last couple of years due to pandemic.

This year, University of York and University of Bristol have agreed to host the meeting in September 2023.

Symposium dates:

September 14 at University of Bristol

Objectives:

  • Strengthening UK-India research collaborations
  • Consolidating partnership with CRSI and also discuss future activities
  • Support publishing activities in India
  • Develop new links between  chemical sciences community in the UK and India
  • Foster discussion of possible future projects between UK and Indian scientists
