Why should you come along?

The Festival will have two sessions:

The first is on spin-outs which are an important aspect of a University’s output – they are a route to research impact and also usually attract investment and create jobs and other opportunities for graduates and people in the city region. They are also great learning experiences for researchers, whether the researcher spends a lot of time in the spin-out, or just a little. Come along to learn a lot more about the reality of spin-outs from the perspectives of academics, investors and commercialisation professionals.

The second is on industry-academic collaboration with a particular focus on Small and Medium sized enterprises. Come along to find out about the problems and challenges businesses are really struggling with – and use that to identify opportunities where your research can make a genuine difference.
