1 Minute 2 Save the Planet

All research students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to the 2nd edition of the “1 min to save the planet” symposium, where speculative sustainable solutions will be put to the test.

1 Minute 2 Save the Planet will see MRes and PhD researchers and postdoctoral fellows from all subjects pitch succinctly how their fundamental research contributes to addressing the current eco-challenges in a 1 min presentation, setting their fundamental research excellence in a broader context.  

All students and PDRAs will be able to vote for the GCA Prize Winner and a distinguished judging panel will be awarding a further 4 prizes including the GCC and Overall Prize Winners (all generously sponsored by the Faculty of Science and School of Chemistry).   

Time: 4-5 pm Friday 4th August 2023, Chemistry LT2 (TBC); followed by a pizza/drink reception (5-6 pm)
