This de Pass Vice-Chancellor’s Fellowship is a special award for future leaders in neuroscience.

We are looking for exceptional early-career researchers to join Bristol Neuroscience.

Bristol Neuroscience encompasses a broad range of expertise in neuroimaging, psychology, behavioural/systems neuroscience, computational/theoretical neuroscience and clinical research. We seek versatile neuroscientists with demonstrable experience of state-of-the-art methods and a proactive approach to multi-disciplinary research. Work that integrates circuit and computational neuroscience across different model organisms is of particular interest.

We welcome applications from researchers with a strong and growing track record in circuit neuroscience, bringing an interdisciplinary plan of research that enhance capacity and support our strategic research hubs which include but are not limited to Memory & Mood, Movement, Sleep and Mental Health. The mission of Bristol Neuroscience is “Brain research for better lives”. Our interdisciplinary network addresses the grand challenges facing brain science and mental health, harnessing neurobiological, psychological, mathematical, engineering and computational expertise across Schools, Faculties and NHS Trusts.

You will find further information about these and our other strategic priorities on our website. The Fellow will become a member of the School of Physiology, Pharmacology & Neuroscience but applicants positioned to collaborate with colleagues across Bristol Neuroscience are strongly encouraged to apply.

If you are interested in this Fellowship, please contact Professor Matt Jones (Director of Bristol Neuroscience) at matt.jones@bristol.ac.uk in the first instance to discuss potential academic sponsors.

Please state in your application if you are applying for this fellowship.
