Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus
Discover the new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, opening 2026 in the heart of the city.
The Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus (TQEC) is the University’s major new campus in the centre of Bristol. The new academic building brings together pioneering teaching and research across digital, business and social innovation and provides exceptional facilities to make the most of your student experience in the heart of our brilliant city.
A transformative education
TQEC provides brand new facilities, world-class teaching and access to collaborative networks to provide students with the education and skills needed to thrive in our evolving world and workplace.
Alongside our students and staff, TQEC will be home to local community partners and public and private sector organisations from a range of industries. This will contribute to students’ graduate employability, with enhanced opportunities for skills building, networking and learning from real-world challenges.
Outstanding facilities
TQEC’s facilities are designed for active participation, with a focus on group working and collaboration. The building includes a range of learning environments across its 6 storeys, including Active Learning Rooms, IT Labs, a Maker Space and the Design Factory. Teaching spaces will be shared, encouraging opportunities for interdisciplinary learning and networking.
There are several types of study spaces, including social, collaborative spaces dotted around the building and lining ‘The Street’, which runs through the centre. There are also a number of low distraction and silent study rooms for the times when you need to focus on solo work.
On the first floor, the SU Living Room provides a space for you to relax, unwind and connect with others. There will be student-led activities if you fancy getting involved as well as books, games and sofas to make use of. There is also a student services facility on this floor, with dedicated teams to help you with all aspects of university life.
Location
At the centre of TQEC, the main academic building on Cattle Market Road will open in 2026. On nearby Avon Street, Bristol Dental School and the Temple Quarter Research Hub are already open, providing world-class education and conducting pioneering research.
A new entrance at the region’s largest transport hub, Bristol Temple Meads, opens directly onto the University campus. On the other side, a new harbour walkway connects the campus to the city centre.
Bristol is home to several parks and green spaces, and TQEC is no exception. Surrounded by an extensive, regenerated green landscape and the waterways, it is a welcoming environment for students, staff, visitors and local communities.
