The postgraduate open day is your chance to get a feel for the University, meet staff and students, and experience what it’s like to be a student on one of our taught postgraduate programmes.

It is a great opportunity to ask the questions that matter to you, find out practical tips about funding and more, and see our beautiful campus and city for yourself.

The structure of the day is as follows: 

Student-led campus tours

Time: 10:30 am to 12 noon (optional, pre-booking necessary)

Locations: faculty-specific and will be confirmed in advance by email

Join current students for a tour and get to know the landscape of our campus. Tours must be pre-booked via the open day booking form. Tour bookings can also be added or amended in the booking portal.

Registration 

Time: 12 noon to 12:45 pm

Location: Wills Memorial Building, Queen’s Road, BS8 1RJ

When you arrive, please check in at Wills Memorial Building by showing the QR code from your booking confirmation email. Please arrive and register no later than 12:45 pm.

Student life and support services exhibition 

Time: 12 noon to 1 pm

Location: Wills Memorial Building

Talk to staff and current postgraduate students to discover more about how we support you throughout your studies. 

You'll be able to chat to representatives from Student Funding, Accommodation, Careers, Wellbeing, Admissions, Disability Services and more.

Central talks

Time: 1 pm (please arrive and register no later than 12:45 pm)

Location: Wills Memorial Building

Our experts and current students will share insight and experiences, providing you with an overview of postgraduate study at Bristol. The session will cover:

  • Why choose Bristol for postgraduate taught study
  • Top tips for making your application
  • How to fund your postgraduate taught studies
  • Student Q and A panel

Faculty talks and subject session

Time: concluding 4 pm 

Locations: within faculties, across the Clifton campus

After the central talks, you will be directed toward your relevant faculty. Your faculty introductory talk will help you learn about the community you will join, facilities available, impactful research, and inspiring action your faculty is delivering.

You’ll then attend your chosen subject session with our expert academics.

In the instance that the open event cannot take place for reasons beyond our control (for example, industrial action), the University of Bristol will not be liable for any losses incurred (for example, pre-paid transport costs). If an event is cancelled or postponed, you will be contacted with as much notice as possible.
