Graduate destinations
Criminology graduates go into a wide range of roles and sectors, including criminal justice professions or policy and analyst roles in the civil service, charities or NGOs.
Graduates can also go into a number of other areas having developed a range of transferable skills throughout their degree. Around 40 per cent of graduate jobs are open to those of any degree discipline.
2022 Graduate destinations
- 96% of our graduates are currently in employment or further study.
- A third of Criminology graduates went into policy-related roles, e.g. policy advisor for the UK Parliament.
- A fifth went into research-related roles, e.g. Analyst for HM Prison and Probation Service.
- Unanimously, all graduates believed that their degree programme was meaningful for their current work.
- Three quarters of these graduates also believed that their degree was a pre-requisite to, or advantageous in, securing their current roles.
