Aegis Professor Undergraduate Competition

Aegis Professor Undergraduate Competition (APUC)

The Aegis Professor Undergraduate Competition (APUC) is run by the SPO in association with student societies in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

In this competition, multi-disciplinary teams of students take on real-world challenges provided by our Aegis Professors and academics. The teams receive training on teamwork, innovation and presentations and are also issued with a mentor. They then work over the summer to come up with scientific and technological solutions to the challenge briefs. Solutions are presented to a judging panel in September and the winning team are awarded a cash prize.

The challenge gives students great insights into how science can have real-world impact and even commercial success.

For the latest information on APUC, see the competition website.
