"I had the pleasure of attending Quantum Morocco 2023 in the capital city of Rabat. It is a beautiful and relaxed city, with amazing food, surfing and plenty of cats! In the wake of the devastating earthquake in the Marrakesh area, the conference organizers decided to proceed with the event. This decision was a testament to the resilience and strength of the Moroccan people. Their hospitality in the face of such a tragic event was inspiring, and we had a very successful conference. I had the opportunity to listen to a wide range of talks on topics such as quantum information theory, quantum metrology, quantum machine learning, and even flight optimization. I also presented my project, which focused on modelling quantum measurements as a thermodynamic process. Keep an eye out for Quantum Morocco 2024!"
