QET Labs exhibit at this year's UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2022

On 11th November, a team of researchers from QET Labs, together with the High Performance Networks Group/Smart Internet Lab attended and took part in the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2022, held at the QEII Exhibition Centre in London.

The event, organised by Innovate UK KTN, in partnership with UKRI, was opened by Science Minister George Freeman MP, who said the Government was on a ‘mission to make the UK a science superpower’. With over 60 exhibits and 1000+ in person attendees, the Showcase is one of the biggest events in the quantum community's calendar and takes place annually to demonstrate growing commercialisation of quantum technologies into the marketplace arising from the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme funding.

The exhibits we brought to the event showcased work across the Quantum Communications Hub, the QuantIC Hub, and the Quantum Computing and Simulation Hub, and included a (colourful) demonstration of a multi-user entanglement network and a virtual tour of QET Labs and Smart Internet Labs courtesy of VR headsets. Marcus Clarke’s demonstration of the former was picked up and filmed by Innovate UK KTN, which you can view via this link.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the event, both in-person and organising!
