TARG Research Showcase at the Hawthorns

PE event at the Hawthorns

Press release issued: 28 June 2022

On Friday the 24th of June, TARG was thrilled to host a public engagement event to showcase the research being undertaken within the research group. In particular, the event was to thank non-academic staff for their role in helping facilitate research.

On the day, there were interactive stalls that covered a variety of topics within the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group's remit. These included emotion, the effects of alcohol, e-cigarette and tobacco use. Academics from TARG engaged attendees via one-to-one chats, and hands-on activities. This included seeking feedback from non academics about the work in TARG itself.

Non-academic staff are vital in the research process, and members of TARG recognise that they could not do our research without the support and dedication of other staff members. This event showcased how the work of non-academic staff helped in the research process.
