Active for Life Year 5 timeline
*Qualitative Research - The qualitative research marked on the timeline, will take place in a subgroup of 12 schools, and will include focus groups (discussion groups) with children and telephone interviews with parents. Schools will find out whether they have been selected to participate in this aspect of the research during 2012.
Control schools
For both timelines, schools allocated to ‘Control’ continue teaching their normal syllabus during 2011/2012. These schools will be offered Active for Life Year 5 training and all the teacher materials in September 2013, once the study is complete.
