Well done to Lydia, who competed in the 2023 BUTL National Student Championships on Sunday 26th February 2023. The competition welcomed competitors from various institutions across the UK and Ireland and this years event took place at Nottingham Trent University. For the first time the competition featured a complete offer of ITF Sparring, ITF Patterns, WT Sparring and WT Poomsae [ITF stands for International Taekwon-Do Federation and WT stands for World Taekwondo].

Lydia won a bronze medal in the WT Female 1st Dan (Black Belt Level 1) Poomsae category. There were five students in total representing the University of Bristol (with Master Carson as coach) and between the team, they managed to win 4 Bronze, 1 Silver and 1 Gold medal from the Poomsae and Sparring events.
