Part description

Richard walks to the rear of the space toward the atomiser and the cuff. He picks up the reflective device and walks with it in his right hand towards the middle of stage right. Richard wipes the mirror's surface with his left hand and looks up towards the ceiling. He moves the device to reflect light upwards, then onto a wall, then back onto the projection screen. Richard then moves toward the screen and holds the device like a torch, his gaze follows the reflected light. He speaks, though the words are difficult to make out, then walks off stage right. The sound of the reflective device is then heard being moved across the floor. Richard moves back into the light, bending over the rotating device which lies on the floor. Then he speaks again and takes the device off stage right. The reflective device is from the work Slice of Life which was shown at the Royal Academy, and was originally attached to lamps in the Royal Academy Schools Life Room space. Richard does not make any verbal reference to Slice of Life during this performance.
