Richard feels that these images make a particularly well-timed appearance. The images show an unused coffee stirrer framed against a cutting board and were taken by Richard in his flat in Finsbury Park. Disposable coffee stirrers were not common in 1996. The slides are from an earlier work Mentations, also made in the 1990s, which toured the UK, Poland, the US and Canada. Richard says of his inclusion of the slides within I Never Done Enough Weird Stuff; "I'm in a previous work". |
