The fully booked open day, running from 9.30am to 4pm, gives a taste of life at the University, including its world-beating courses and its stunning campus.
Visitors can learn about the University’s pastoral support, Careers Service, many scholarships and the 350 clubs and societies on offer through Bristol Students’ Union.
On top of learning about the University's courses, there will also be talks on race inclusion and support for disabled students, LGBTQ+ students and students from the local Bristol area. Attendees can also meet current students and graduates.
Ten pop-up food stalls will offer everything from delicious pizzas and mac & cheese to fish and chips and Sri Lankan meals.
Local businesses should expect more footfall, particularly around the heart of the Clifton Campus: Tyndall Avenue, Woodland Road, Queens Road and the Triangle.
Prof Tansy Jessop, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Students at the University of Bristol, said: “Open days are always a highlight of our year and we are really excited to welcome prospective students and their loved ones into the University.
“Open days don’t just showcase our University, they also showcase the vibrancy and beauty of our wonderful city.”
On Saturday, Tyndall Avenue, Woodland Road and Priory Road will be closed to traffic to allow a shuttle bus services to operate. There will also be a one-way system from St Michael’s Hill, along Tyndall Avenue, turning right onto Woodland Road and exiting at Tyndall’s Park Road.
