The A. G. Leventis Foundation has awarded a grant of £147,819 to the University of Bristol’s Institute of Greece, Rome and the Classical Tradition.

The award will be used to fund a post-doctoral fellowship programme based within the institute, continuing the support already received from the foundation.

“We are delighted that the A. G. Leventis Foundation has once more agreed to fund a post-doctoral fellowship programme at the University,” said Dr Nicoletta Momigliano, Reader in Aegean Prehistory and director of the institute.

“The current holder of the A. G. Leventis Fellowship in Greek Studies is Dr Adam Lecznar, whose research, teaching and outreach activities in local Bristol schools have been outstanding. We are very happy that another young scholar will be able to follow in his footsteps.”

The A. G. Leventis Foundation is an important charitable organisation promoting Greek and Cypriot cultural heritage as well as supporting numerous public benefit programmes, pioneering environmental projects and medical research.
