The lecture will be delivered by Professor Barbara Rothbaum of Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, USA, who specialises in research on the treatment of individuals with anxiety disorders, focusing particularly on PTSD. The lecture complements the 2015 Annual Colston Research Society Symposium, a two-day academic symposium devoted to new development in PTSD research and treatment. Professors Astrid Linthorst and Hans Reul of the School of Clinical Sciences have led the University’s collaboration in the symposium. Their research groups investigate neurobiological and cognitive mechanisms in the brain that support coping with stress.
