Bristol retains HR Excellence in Research Award

28 May 2015

The University of Bristol has successfully retained its HR Excellence in Research Award, after being externally evaluated through the Vitae programme.

The Award, bestowed by the European Commission, recognises a university's commitment to improving the working conditions and career development of its research staff.

Bristol is one of 11 UK universities in the current round to have been evaluated as part of their four-year reviews. This brings the total number of UK institutions to have undertaken and retained the Award to 21.

A total of 226 European organisations now hold the Award, which also commits them to a programme of internal and external evaluation.

For further details, see the Vitae press release.
