Tracey Hamblin, 1961-2015

29 April 2015

Tracey Hamblin, a cleaner at Oakfield House, passed away recently. Liz Lynch, Site Services Manager, offers a tribute.

Tracey joined Site Services as a cleaner in December 2010, and started work at Oakfield House, which at that time was a new property for the University.

Very early on it became obvious that Tracey was a real worker with very high standards: she soon got into her stride at Oakfield and was quickly established as a very valuable member of our team. She was a private person who could be reserved until she got to know you, but she was always kind and thoughtful.

Tracey enjoyed socialising and travel, and always looked forward to her holidays in the sun.

In September 2014, Tracey resigned, having made the decision to join her husband, Chris, in retirement. This was a sad day for Site Services but a new start for Tracey, who was looking forward to the next chapter in her life.

We were devastated to learn that Tracey had passed away very suddenly on Saturday 25 April.

She was a lovely lady who was well liked and respected by colleagues and workmates alike. She will be sorely missed by many.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences go to her husband Chris and family.
