Fourteen teams from universities from across the South of England are expected to compete in the knock-out style competition, where participants engage in simulated court proceedings. There will be four rounds over the course of the day, including the final. The judging panel will comprise members of the local legal profession and staff from the School of Law, with Lord Toulson presiding over the final.

The event is sponsored by leading Bristol law firm, Bond Dickinson LLP, and London-based “magic circle” law firm, Slaughter & May.  St John’s Chambers, Bristol, is offering mini-pupillages to the winning team.

The final is open to spectators and will take place in the Great Hall, Wills Memorial Building, at 4pm. The event will be followed by a drinks reception, where there will be an opportunity to meet judges, legal professionals and representatives from the sponsors, as well as staff and students from the School of Law.
