The Bristol University Music Festival returns for its fifth year and features jazz, classical and musical theatre during the four-day event.

Over 100 students will be performing at three venues - The Victoria Rooms, The Music Club and Racks Bar, both on St Paul’s Road.

This year includes the return of the popular composers’ concert on Tuesday, 4 June, showcasing some acoustic and electronic student compositions.

The festival will also see, for the first time, a Music Theatre Scene Concert on Monday, 3 June, and a special farewell concert on Wednesday, 5 June, dedicated to Dr Glyn Jenkins, who is leaving the Department of Music after 30 years of teaching.

Georgie Ward, a member of the Music Festival Committee, said: "This is a great opportunity to see up-and-coming musicians playing at a professional standard and hear contemporary compositions – all for free. It's a friendly, fun atmosphere and we're all very excited show people what Bristol music students have to offer.

  • All concerts are free, just show up to the venue in time to get a seat.
