14 March 2013

Students and staff can now view plans for the next stage of the Priory Road development in the café of the Social Sciences Complex in Priory Road.

Students and staff can now view plans for the next stage of the Priory Road development in the Social Sciences café in the Priory Road Complex.

The proposals are part of the University’s ongoing project to enhance and extend the Priory Road Complex and refurbish teaching and administrative space in Tyndall’s Park Road.

Applications for planning permission and listed-building consent for the work at 30-32 Tyndall’s Park Road have now been submitted to Bristol City Council (refs: 13/00495/LA and 13/00496/F) and these can be viewed via the council’s online planning search.

Last December, initial proposals for 30-32 Tyndall’s Park Road were displayed in the foyer of Senate House. These showed the planned refurbishment of the Language Centre and ideas for building a new lecture theatre in the rear garden that would link through to the Priory Road Complex. A planning application for this new lecture theatre is due to be submitted at the end of March.

You can also find the plans on display in the Humanities Common Room at 11 Woodland Road and the Modern Languages Common Room at 17 Woodland Road, or view them online at bristol.ac.uk/estates/projects/priory-road.
