The event will provide applicants with a taste of university life and the chance to see for themselves all that the University and city has to offer.
All of the University’s undergraduate schools and departments are taking part and will be hosting a number of interactive demonstrations and information events.
Prospective students of Cellular and Molecular Medicine will be learning about ‘Using stem cells to give the kiss of life’, while those wishing to study English can take a tour through literary history.
Visitors can also attend lectures on a diverse range of subjects, including how electronic technologies have transformed our lives, and how economists can influence important policy and address fundamental moral concerns.
General information talks relating to many aspects of higher education, such as funding your studies, will be available in the Wills Memorial Building along with specific sessions for parents, teachers, careers advisers and mature students. There will also be a chance for students to visit University accommodation at Stoke Bishop.
Around 200 student stewards, wearing red T-shirts, will be on hand to help visitors find their way around the University.
Lorraine Norman, the University’s Undergraduate Events Officer, said: “Open days like this are the perfect opportunity to find out about the University, meet our students and staff, and see what we have to offer. It's great that we have so many visitors, and we hope they enjoy their day.”
Please note that this event requires a ticket to attend and all tickets have now been allocated.
