Widespread coverage for Egyptologist's 'royal' coffin find

The discovery of an Egyptian ‘royal’ coffin at Torquay Museum by Dr Aidan Dodson was covered by The Times, The Daily Mail, The Sun and local newspapers.

News that an extremely rare Egyptian coffin, possibly belonging to the son of a king or a very senior official, has been ‘discovered’ at Torquay Museum by an archaeologist at the University of Bristol was covered by The Times, The Daily Mail, The Sun, Metro, The Western Morning News and the South Devon Herald Express.

The discovery was made by Dr Aidan Dodson of the School of Archaeology and Anthropology while undertaking a long-term project to catalogue every single Egyptian coffin in English and Welsh provincial museums.
