Research from Dr Andrew Radford of the School of Biological Sciences into allopreening by green woodhoopoes was covered by the Daily Mail, Planet Earth and Live Science.

New research from Dr Andrew Radford in the School of Biological Sciences which found that the stress levels of green woodhoopoes, a non-migratory bird in sub-Saharan Africa, go down when they preen each other was covered by the Daily Mail, Planet Earth and Live Science.

Dr Radford studied the behaviour of 20 groups of wild birds over six-months.  His findings are published today in Biology Letters.
