International students awarded scholarships

On 4 May, many of the 21 students who were successful in winning a 2010/11 International Scholarship attended a winners’ awards ceremony, hosted by the International Office. Each winner was congratulated by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Avril Waterman-Pearson, who awarded the certificates.

Each year, the International Office rewards the highest achieving international students with scholarships that contribute towards the cost of their tuition fees. For 2010/11 entry, 12 undergraduates and nine postgraduates from across all faculties were awarded scholarships. Winners this year are from Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Mauritius, Mongolia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, USA and Vietnam.
