Calling all researchers

18 March 2011

The University invites research staff to submit entries for the Vice-Chancellor’s Impact Award 2011. The deadline for entries is 25 April.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Impact Award is a new element within the New Enterprise Competition 2011, run by Research, Enterprise and Development (RED). It is aimed at research staff and hopes to celebrate the most innovative impacts emerging from research conducted by the University in the last year.

Two awards will be made this year: a winner’s prize of £1,500 and a runner-up prize of £500 to individuals or groups showing outstanding innovation in creating economic and/or social impact from their research. The Vice-Chancellor's Impact Award is sponsored by IP Group.

Individuals or groups can apply for the awards, as can Deans of Faculty, Heads of School, Research Directors, and RED staff on behalf of (and with the tacit agreement of the researchers). Applications should be submitted using the VC's Impact Award Form.

The awards will be announced and presented as part of the annual Enterprise Dinner on 28 June.

More information about the Vice-Chancellor’s Impact Award is available on the RED website or by contacting Dave Jaman at dave.jarman@bristol.ac.uk.
