Bristol at The Times Cheltenham Science Festival

Dr Alice Roberts, Visiting Fellow in the Department of Anatomy and Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, will be presenting a talk on the award-winning BBC2 series 'Coast' at The Times Cheltenham Science Festival this week.

Dr Roberts will be joined by colleagues from the series to explore Britain’s coastline, revealing its hidden science secrets, historcial tales and wildlife gems. The talk, entitled ‘Coast’, takes place on Saturday 12 June at 6.30 pm in Cheltenham Town Hall.

Kathy Sykes, Professor of Sciences and Society, at the University of Bristol and Dr Mark Lythgoe, Director of the Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging at University College London, are this year’s festival directors. They will be joined by guest directors Heston Blumenthal and Professor Brian Cox.

The festival, which takes place from 9 to 13 June, offers a wide programme of debate and discovery about science.
