The University of Bristol Students’ Union (UBU) has appointed a new Chief Executive. Samantha Budd will join the organisation in December from Gloucestershire County Council, where she has been responsible for the operational management of the Access to Education service which comprises school admissions, home to school transport, student benefits and HE student finance.

Having led on strategy and planning, partnerships, policy development, press and communication and performance management in her current role, Samantha is ideally placed to lead the Students’ Union and the refurbishment of the Queens Road building over the next four years.
